The atmosphere and service was wonderful. The food, however, was very bland and not what my family expected. We will not be returning.
Always great food. Rice consistently tastes fresh, sushi is superb. Nice family run restaurant.
Place is so slow.
The atmosphere and service here was friendly and welcoming. However, I wish I could say the same about the food. The chicken was bland and overall I didn't get what I was expecting. I will not be returning.
Really good made to order sushi for lunch.
Some of the best Chinese food. Nice portions. Courteous staff. Will be back when in the area.
I had the kung pao chicken and was very satisfied with not only how good it was but the presentation was also very nicely done.
Love the food, but it seems that they keep increasing their prices. I spent $80 on take out for four people and when I compared it to other take out food, it’s pricey. If you’re going to pay sit down prices, I would recommend eating there and then if you want take out, order somewhere else.
My family visits the restaurant at least once a week. Beef and garlic and the Mongolian beef are our favorite. Best Chinese food in the area
Always consistently great food. Wonderful clean atmosphere.
The only place in the area that has sesame bean balls, which are great - my son loves them. Also a good selection of sushi.
I am a diehard foodie. This place is by far the best Asian restaurant in the area! I recently moved and drive to this place (about 40 minutes out of the way) when the Chinese food craving hits. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the food is made with care and precision. Everyone is always very welcoming when I come in for our pick up order. Authentic Chinese. There's only been one or two occasions where the food was not amazing. 9 times out of 10 it is on point!!
Moderately priced but bland, and the service was awkward even by the standards of family-run takeout places. Unremarkable.
Great food
Great food! Great People! One of my new favorite places! The food is Authentic and atmosphere is light, clean, and cozy. Will definitely be back.
The lady on the front (I guess is owner) is so rude, chicken is no taste, rice so hard like rock Never come back! Not recommended!!!!!
My family has been going there for a few years now. Their Chinese food isn’t bad, but we really love their sushi.
Great food. Family run.
Have eaten here many times. Today was a bad one. One order was dry the other was bland as could be. Man that answered the phone didn’t say much to my complaint, told me noodles were supposed to be dry,( really?), he didn’t say anything else about the bland chkn with vegetables when I told him about it...just dead silence. $50 down the drains. Thanks for offering to reimburse me or credit me.
Good food at a reasonable price.
Very good food for the price great sushi
went and got go order tonight. Chicken chow mein and egg foo young. Chicken in chicken chow mein was slimy and raw. Made me ill. I called to complain and was told it was me that was the problem. Be ware of the place We will NEVER go back.
First time I visited and the food was very good I look forward to going back
I enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. Everything was done in a timely manner which I really appreciate. i would highly recommend.
Great food here, never a bad experience.
Pretty good food. Not my first choice, but it's good.
I love this restaurant. It's clean and has very genuine food. We took the pickiest eater in the family there and she loved it. Go in and try the buffet at lunch.
Finally! We've been searching for a nice place for dine-in Chinese food. Beautiful!
I've been here so many times and have yet to be disappointed. All of the other Asian restaurants in the area are inferior compared to this place. Food is always hot, delicious, consistent, sizable, and reasonably priced. My favorite dishes include the Kung Pao Chicken, Szechuan Shrimp or Chicken, Hot Braised Shrimp, and my recent venture into vegetarianism: Tofu with vegetables.
Just wanted to give a review since it looks like the last one was a year ago. This place is still awesome. Whether you want Chinese or Sushi - give this place a try! It's delicious and great for dining in or takeout.
Great for, and right next door to a great bar!
Consistently great eats
Always excellent with friendly servics!
Not very good sushi to much rice but all other food looked very good
After living in So. STL County and frequenting my favorite Chinese restaurant/takeout Sesame (on Watson just north of Lindbergh), it was impossible t find a closer quality venue. Asian House is the place!!
Went here for lunch today after reading the positive reviews and was not disappointed. The restaurant is cozy and the staff is super friendly. My wife and I were both going to get sushi but when I saw the menu I had to try the hot braised chicken. When the food came out, the first thing we noticed was the nice presentation. Both of our meals were delicious and the portions were perfect... not too much but not too little. My hot braised chicken had a little kick too it but not spicy. The menu says you can request a spice level so next time I plan on kicking it up a notch. So far this is our favorite Asian restaurant in this area and plan on going back often.
Great Chinese food in West County!
Tried Asian House tonight with high hopes. Atmosphere is terrific! Menu is varied without being overdone. Employees were pleasant, not overly friendly but capable. Ordered 2 appetizers and they were prepared well. Unfortunately the Moo Goo Gai Pan (which is literally Chicken and Vegetables) had only mushrooms and carrots - no bamboo shoots, no pea pods, no celery - not even broccoli as a substitute. It’s served with a very small amount of rice, about 1 cup. We asked for more rice and they brought out another small portion. When the bill arrived, they up charged the Moo Goo Gai Pan $1 over the Chicken with Vegetables menu price and up charged the additional 1 cup of rice for $2.50. Btw, just for your information, they don’t appear to serve beer or wine. I guess I’ll just keep looking for a decent Asian food restaurant with fair pricing.
I ordered takeout in the restaurant and it was super fast, friendly service and everything tasted delicious.
great authentic chinese! love it
Great food and quick service. They also package everything well for carryout. Good variety but especially enjoy their seafood dishes
Haven't been for about a year, still very good Chinese food. Very nice. Very clean.
Went for the lunch special and wasn't disappointed! The food was right off the grill, perfect serving size, and wasn't over-fried. I had the orange chicken and would highly recommend it.
I've eaten the Chinese food here and always loved it, 5 stars. Today I had the sushi. My mother is Japanese, so I've eaten sushi my entire life. They didn't marinade the salmon and it tasted very fishy. They also put mayonnaise on everything. I didn't know that they would do that or I would have asked them not to. I could not eat the sushi due to the fishy taste. I understand that it's fish, but it shouldn't taste fishy -- 2 stars for the sushi. Average them together and it's 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 because the owners are very nice. I will definitely go back for the Chinese food, but not for the sushi.
We had carry out - it was not great. There was very little flavor, the fried rice was rice with some soy...the lo mein had little flavor and the crab rangoon were not good - I guess we should have ordered them sweet? Everything was beige...won't be back.
Everything is fresh and tastes great. Sesame balls = YUM
The server at 1pm, August 15, 2018 is very mean! She should not be here. Miso soup tastes like water and the St. Louis roll is terrible.
I love it. The food has always been spot on. It tastes fresh. I love supporting well-run small businesses. My go to Chinese food/sushi spot.
Chinese food that is not to greasy but still flavorful!Good sushi too.
Miso soup tastes like hot water. Shrimp wonton soup was only marginally better. Entrees taste like the meats weren't thawed properly before cooking and the sauces had a gritty overly concentrated quality that made it taste like they were squirted directly out of a bottle, warmed then served. Honestly I had asian house a few years ago and really liked it. This time around was a miss, not sure they came under new mgmt or if they've been cost cutting on the quality.
